This is a highly coveted micro-miniature epiphytic orchid native to the humid forests of Vietnam. Famed for its fascinating growth habit, its tiny, fleshy, distichous leaves (meaning arranged opposite in vertical rows) crawl flat against its mounting surface, perfectly mimicking a centipede or millipede.
When grown in bright, indirect light, the succulent-like foliage transforms from deep emerald green to stunning shades of purple-violet. In late spring, this tiny creeping wonder produces clusters of vibrant, jewel-toned, pinkish-purple blossoms that put on a massive show for their microscopic size.
