Cattleya Mariposa Reina

This is renamed from LC. Mem Kay Johnston after Laelia dayana was reclassified as a synonym of Cattleya bicalhoi.

Cross: C. intermedia X C. bicalhoi (L. dayana)

This is a primary cross between Cattleya intermedia andC. bicalhoi (L. dayana) which produces nicely shaped 3" flowers at least twice a year. The flowers have been coming out baby pink with darker pink in the lip. The plant is modest in size but very vigorous in growth.

The flower picture is from one of our first-bloomed plants of this cross and very representative of the bloom coloring we are seeing. 

4 inch pot is about 1 year from blooming.
