(var amethystina 'Jewell's Blush' x var vinicolor 'Marcella')
Brazilian species. This plant is a sib crossing of two unique forms of Cattleya intermedia. The amethystina (suavissima) variety has flowers with a delicate pink blush to the lip while the vinicolor variety has a dark wine-colored lip. Both parents have stout 8” plants and display 3-5 four-inch flowers in the spring. The flower picture is from one of our first-bloomed seedlings and represents the coloring of all of the flowers we've seen from this cross so far.
(About 1-2 years from blooming size.)
