L. aurea 'Jewell's'

This is a species found in Mexico.  The mature plants are 6-8” tall and the 2½” flowers bloom on top of tall spikes in large clusters.  The flowers are bright butter yellow with a dark maroon throat.  These plants are quite rare in cultivation. 

The flower picture is from a previous blooming of the mother plant.

(Plants are bare root front bulb blooming size divisions with at least one new growth.)
