This is an outstanding species from Mexico and grows similar to Laelia anceps with three to six 4” flowers perched on a tall spike held well above the foliage. This species is the most exceptional Mexican Laelia because of its vibrant royal purple flowers. These plants are temperature tolerant and form large compact specimens much sooner than anceps because of the short rhizome length between psuedobulbs.
The flower picture is from a previous blooming of the mother plant.
(Plants are bare root front bulb blooming size divisions with at least one new growth.)
